New construction HVAC, engineered — not estimated.
TruSpec™ is how TruClimate designs every custom home: a five-phase engineering process that turns your plan set into a right-sized, balanced system before a single duct is hung. No oversizing, no clammy rooms, no callbacks.
A tight house punishes a sloppy load calc.
Foam encapsulation, better glazing, and tighter envelopes have cut the loads in today's custom homes. Most HVAC subs still size by square footage — and end up putting equipment in the house that's too big for it.
It short-cycles
Oversized equipment satisfies the thermostat in minutes and shuts off, wearing out components and never settling into steady, quiet operation.
Humidity stays behind
Short run times don't give the coil enough time to pull moisture. The house hits temperature but feels clammy — especially in a sealed, encapsulated envelope.
The callback has your name on it
Hot rooms, cold rooms, and sticky air show up after closing. Your homeowner doesn't call the HVAC sub first — they call you.
Five phases. Modeled and verified before a single duct is hung.
Every TruClimate new construction job runs through the same engineering pipeline, so your build gets the right tonnage, balanced airflow, and a system that runs quiet, comfortable, and dry.
Manual J Load Design
A room-by-room heat gain and heat loss calculation on the actual envelope — encapsulation, glazing, orientation, and roof pitch. We use a transparent safety factor and never inflate loads to cover ourselves.
Airflow (CFM) Analysis
An engineered duct takeoff: every room sized to its load, supply runs and returns balanced, and zoning designed in from the start — not patched in after the fact.
Equipment Selection
A Manual S match to design conditions, with capacity verified at our 101°F outdoor design temperature. We specify multi-stage or variable-capacity equipment to protect comfort and humidity control in high-performance envelopes.
Builder Proposal
A detailed, itemized scope of work covering equipment, ductwork, controls, and warranties, with one clear lump-sum price. Billing is phased to your rough and final schedule, and materials are ordered and staged so we never hold up your build.
Job Costing and Closeout
A post-completion cost review on every job. We hold ourselves accountable to the numbers we quoted you — a discipline that keeps our pricing honest and consistent, job after job.
A mechanical sub that runs on your schedule.
We designed TruSpec for foam-encapsulated, high-performance homes and the builders who put their name on them. You get engineering up front and a crew that shows up ready.
Questions builders ask us
What do you need from us to start? +
A full plan set, your insulation spec, and your electric or gas/propane preference. Those details drive the load calc. If anything's missing, we'll tell you exactly what.
How quickly do we get a proposal? +
Typically within 2 business days of receiving a complete plan set, including the Manual J, CFM report, equipment selection, and itemized proposal.
What equipment do you specify? +
Multi-stage or variable-capacity systems selected by Manual S to match the home's actual loads. We install American Standard, Lennox, and Samsung equipment, and every proposal lists the exact model numbers and warranties.
How does billing work? +
Billing is phased to your schedule — tied to rough-in and final — so draws line up with your construction milestones.
Where do you build? +
We work with custom builders across Johnson, Tarrant, Hood, and Parker Counties, out of our shop in Burleson.
Plans in. Right-sized system out.
Send us your plan set and we'll run it through TruSpec. You'll know the tonnage, the airflow, and the price before anyone hangs a duct.
